Thirumurai 4.3
1.
மாதர்ப் பிறைக்கண்ணி யானை மலையான் மகளொடும் பாடிப்
போதொடு நீர்சுமந் தேத்திப் புகுவா ரவர்பின் புகுவேன்
யாதுஞ் சுவடு படாமல் ஐயா றடைகின்ற போது
காதன் மடப்பிடி யோடுங் களிறு வருவன கண்டேன்
கண்டே னவர்திருப் பாதங் கண்டறி யாதன கண்டேன்.

praising Civan who has a chaplet of beautiful crescent, together with the daughter of the mountain.
I, who was entering the temple following people who entered into it carrying flowers and water.
when I reached aiyāṟu without the slightest indication of the body having become worn out.
I saw male elephants coming along with their loving young female elephants.
I saw his holy feet.
I saw what I did not see previously .

Singing Him wreathed in crescent cute, with Hill-man\'s daughter,
Entering the precincts, followin aflock fetching loads of flower and water,
With no trace of wear and tear none, reaching Aiyaaru,
Found I elephants with their dear young females fast in love;
Found I His holy feet little found or known.

ஏடு மதிக்கண்ணி யானை யேந்திழை யாளொடும் பாடிக்
காடொடு நாடு மலையுங் கைதொழு தாடா வருவேன்
ஆட லமர்ந்துறை கின்ற ஐயா றடைகின்ற போது
பேடை மயிலொடுங் கூடிப் பிணைந்து வருவன கண்டேன்
கண்டே னவர்திருப் பாதங் கண்டறி யாதன கண்டேன்.

singing the praises of Civaṉ who wears as a chaplet the crescent which is like a flower, together with the lady a superior jewels.
I was coming crossing the forests in the country side a mountains worshipping with folded hands, dancing all the while.
when I was reaching aiyāṟu where Civaṉ dwells performing dance.
I saw male peacocks coming joining with its females.
see 1st verse.

Singing Him wreathed in a calyx like crescent,His Half in choice jewels,by,
Woods, country, hill I passed dancing through over to pray with folded arms;
On reaching Aiyaaru where Dancer dwells in abiding Grace,
Found I the peacocks mad with mates strutting together in view.
Found I His holy feet little found or known.

விரும்பு மதிக்கண்ணி யானை மெல்லிய லாளொடும் பாடிப்
பெரும்புலர் காலை யெழுந்து பெறுமலர் கொய்யா வருவேன்
அருங்கலம் பொன்மணி யுந்தும் ஐயா றடைகின்ற போது
கருங்கலை பேடையொ டாடிக் கலந்து வருவன கண்டேன்
கண்டே னவர்திருப் பாதங் கண்டறி யாதன கண்டேன்.

singing the praises of Civaṉ who wears a chaplet of a crescent desired by him, along with a lady of tender nature.
waking up from sleep in the last quarter of the night.
I shall come currying plucking all available flowers at that time.
when I reach aiyāṟu where the river Kāviri pushes many rare ornaments, gold, and precious stones.
I saw male black and its mate joining together in dance.

Singing Him wreathed in willing moon, Her Tenderness in arts beside,
Rising at early dawn, picking first flowers, I come;
Reaching Aiyaaru where Ponni rushes in rare jewels, hill gems and gold,
Found I the dark fawn and the doe in dance conjoined;
Found I His holy feet little found or known.

4.
பெரும்புலர் காலை மூழ்கிப் பித்தர்க்குப் பத்த ராகி
அரும்பொடு மலர்கள் கொண்டாங் கார்வத்தை யுள்ளே வைத்து
விரும்பிநல் விளக்குத் தூபம் விதியினா லிடவல் லார்க்குக்
கரும்பினிற் கட்டி போல்வார் கடவூர்வீ ரட்ட னாரே.

bathing in the early hours of day-break.
being a votary of Civaṉ.
having the attachment towards a desired thing in the mind;
worshipping with buds and flowers.
with affection;
to those who are able to burn good lamps and burn incense according to rules.
Civaṉ in Katavūr Vīraṭṭam is as sweet as sugar-cane jaggery.

10.
முந்துரு விருவ ரோடு மூவரு மாயி னாரும்
இந்திர னோடு தேவ ரிருடிக ளின்பஞ் செய்ய
வந்திரு பதுக டோளா லெடுத்தவன் வலியை வாட்டிக்
கந்திரு வங்கள் கேட்டார் கடவூர்வீ ரட்ட னாரே.

Civan in Kaṭavūr virattam assumed the forms of Ayan and Ari, which are prominent and was himself Rudran, Maheswaran and Sadasivan.
when the celestials along with Indhiran and sages to make Civan feel happy by worshipping him.
having destroyed the strength of Irāvaṇaṉ who lifted Kayilai having approached it, by his twenty shoulders, and listened to the songs sung by him and granted his grace
