1. பூரி யாவரும் புண்ணியம் பொய்கெடும்
கூரி தாய அறிவுகை கூடிடும்
சீரி யார்பயில் சேறையுட் செந்நெறி
நாரி பாகன்றன் நாம நவிலவே.
2. என்ன மாதவஞ் செய்தனை நெஞ்சமே
மின்னு வார்சடை வேத விழுப்பொருள்
செந்நெ லார்வயற் சேறையுட் செந்நெறி
மன்னு சோதிநம் பால்வந்து வைகவே.
3. பிறப்பு மூப்புப் பெரும்பசி வான்பிணி
இறப்பு நீங்கியிங் கின்பம்வந் தெய்திடும்
சிறப்பர் சேறையுட் செந்நெறி யான்கழல்
மறப்ப தின்றி மனத்தினுள் வைக்கவே.
4. மாடு தேடி மயக்கினில் வீழ்ந்துநீர்
ஓடி யெய்த்தும் பயனிலை ஊமர்காள்
சேடர் வாழ்சேறைச் செந்நெறி மேவிய
ஆட லான்தன் அடியடைந் துய்ம்மினே.
5.எண்ணி நாளும் எரியயிற் கூற்றுவன்
துண்ணென் தோன்றிற் துரக்கும் வழிகண்டேன்
திண்ணன் சேறைத் திருச்செந் நெறியுறை
அண்ண லாருளர் அஞ்சுவ தென்னுக்கே.
6. தப்பி வானந் தரணிகம் பிக்கிலென்
ஒப்பில் வேந்தர் ஒருங்குடன் சீறிலென்
செப்ப மாஞ்சேறைச் செந்நெறி மேவிய
அப்ப னாருளர் அஞ்சுவ தென்னுக்கே.
7. வைத்த மாடும் மடந்தைநல் லார்களும்
ஒத்தொவ் வாதவுற் றார்களு மென்செய்வார்
சித்தர் சேறைத் திருச்செந் நெறியுறை
அத்தர் தாமுள ரஞ்சுவ தென்னுக்கே.
8. குலங்க ளென்செய்வ குற்றங்க ளென்செய்வ
துலங்கி நீநின்று சோர்ந்திடல் நெஞ்சமே
இலங்கு சேறையிற் செந்நெறி மேவிய
அலங்க னாருள ரஞ்சுவ தென்னுக்கே.
9.பழகி னால்வரும் பண்டுள சுற்றமும்
விழவிடா விடில் வேண்டிய எய்தொணா
திகழ்கொள் சேறையிற் செந்நெறி மேவிய
அழக னாருள ரஞ்சுவ தென்னுக்கே.
10.பொருந்து நீண்மலை யைப்பிடித் தேந்தினான்
வருந்த வூன்றி மலரடி வாங்கினான்
திருந்து சேறையிற் செந்நெறி மேவியங்
கிருந்த சோதியென் பார்க்கிட ரில்லையே.

what does it matter if all the kings who have no equals combine and be angry with us.

wives and relations who are united with us if we are in affluent circumstances for all outward appearance and leave us when we are in straits, without real love at heart.

6. தப்பி வானந் தரணிகம் பிக்கிலென்
ஒப்பில் வேந்தர் ஒருங்குடன் சீறிலென்
செப்ப மாஞ்சேறைச் செந்நெறி மேவிய
அப்ப னாருளர் அஞ்சுவ தென்னுக்கே.
