ஏத்தினர் எண்ணிலி தேவர்எம் மீசனை
வாழ்த்தினர் வாசப் பசுந்தென்றல் வள்ளலென்
றார்த்தனர் அண்டங் கடந்தப் புறம்நின்று
சாத்தனன் என்னும் கருத்தறி யாரே

தேவர் பலரும் தாம்செய்த புண்ணியத்தின் பயனாகச் சிவன் உருவத்திருமேனி கொண்டு வெளிப்படக் கண்டு புகழ்ந்தும், வாழ்த்தியும், இன்பப் பொருளாக உணர்ந்தும், வேண் டுவார் வேண்டுவதை அருளப்பெற்று, `வரையாது வழங்கும் வள்ளல்` என ஆரவாரித்தும் நின்றாராயினும், `அவன் உண்மையில் உலகங் கடந்தவனே` என்னும் உண்மையை உணர்கின்றிலர்.

The countless Devas gloried My Lord
``O! Southern Breeze, fragrant cool`` they praised,
``O! Bounteous One,
`` they adored,
But they know not this;
From beyond the Spaces Vast
He His protection granted.
