முதல் தந்திரம் - 24. கேள்வி கேட்டமைதல்

அறங்கேட்டும் அந்தணர் வாய்மொழி கேட்டும்
மறங்கேட்டும் வானவர் மந்திரங் கேட்டும்
புறங்கேட்டும் பொன்னுரை மேனியெம் ஈசன்
திறங்கேட்டும் பெற்ற சிவகதி தானே .

முத்தி என்பது `அறம், பொருள், இன்பம்` என்னும் உலகியற் பொருள்களையும், வேதத்தின் கன்ம காண்டம், உபாசனா காண்டம், ஞானகாண்டம் என்னும் மெய்ந்நெறிப் பொருள்களையும் வல்லார்வாய்க் கேட்டார் பெற்ற பயனேயாம்.

Listening to Dharma and to the words of the Holy,
Listening to God`s valorous acts and the Devas` mantras many,
Listening to loud reports and the deeds peerless of the Lord,
The Lord whose body gleaming bright as gold are all to attain the Siva State.
