விளக்கினார் பெற்ற வின்ப மெழுக்கினாற் பதிற்றி யாகும்

துளக்கினன் மலர்தொ டுத்தாற் றூயவிண் ணேற லாகும்

விளக்கிட்டார் பேறு சொல்லின் மெய்ஞ்ஞெறி ஞான மாகும்

அளப்பில கீதஞ் சொன்னார்க் கடிகடா மருளு மாறே.

திருக்கோயிலைப் பெருக்குவதனால் பெறும் இன்பத்தைப் போல அதனை மெழுகுவதனால் பத்து மடங்கு இன்பம் ஏற்படும். ஒளியை உடைய நல்ல மலர்களைப் பறித்து அவற்றை மாலையாகத் தொடுத்து இறைவனுக்கு ஒப்படைத்தால், தூய வீட்டுலகத்துக்கு இவ்வான்மா மேல் நோக்கிச் செல்லும். கோயிலில் விளக்கு ஏற்றுபவர்கள் உண்மை வழியில் செலுத்தும் ஞானமாகிய பேறு பெறுவர். எல்லையில்லாத பாடல்களைப் பாடுபவர்களுக்கு இறைவன் அருளும் வகைகள் எல்லை இல்லாதன.

those who clean the floor of the temple with cow-dung water is tenfold greater than the benefit derived by those who sweep the temple.
