ஆதியன் ஆதிரையன் அயன்
    மாலறி தற்கரிய
சோதியன் சொற்பொருளாய்ச் சுருங்
    காமறை நான்கினையும்
ஓதியன் உம்பர்தங்கோன் உல
    கத்தினுள் எவ்வுயிர்க்கும்
நாதியன் நம்பெருமான் நண்ணும்
    ஊர்நனி பள்ளியதே

Civaṉ is the source of all things.
he has the star Ātirai as his favourite star.
is the light that Ayaṉ and Māl could not know.
being himself the words and their meanings.
he recited with the proper intonation the four elaborate vētams.
is the chief of the celestials in heaven.
naṉipaḷḷi is the place that our Lord who is the chief of all living being in this world, dwells.

வானவனை வானவர்க்கு மேலா னானை
    வணங்குமடி யார்மனத்துள் மருவிப் புக்க
தேனவனைத் தேவர்தொழு கழலான் தன்னைச்
    செய்குணங்கள் பலவாகி நின்ற வென்றிக்
கோனவனைக் கொல்லை விடை யேற்றி னானைக்
    குழல்முழவம் இயம்பக்கூத் தாட வல்ல
கானவனைக் கற்குடியில் விழுமியானைக்
    கற்பகத்தைக் கண்ணாரக் கண்டேன் நானே

வானவனாய், தேவர்களுக்கு மேம்பட்டவனாய், தன்னை வணங்கும் அடியவர் மனத்துள் விரும்பிப்புகுந்த தேன் போன்றவனாய், தேவர்கள் தொழும் திருவடிகளை உடையவனாய், பலவாகி நின்ற தன் செயல்கள் யாவினும் வெற்றி காணும் தலைவனாய், முல்லை நிலத்தெய்வமாம் திருமாலாகிய காளையை உடையவனாய், குழலும் முழவும் ஒலிக்கச் சுடுகாட்டில் கூத்தாடவல்ல, கற்பகம் போன்ற கற்குடியில் விழுமி யானைக் கண்ணாரக் கண்டேன் நானே.

விண்ணி னார்பணிந் தேத்த வியப்புறும்
மண்ணி னார்மற வாது சிவாயவென்
றெண்ணி னார்க்கிட மாஎழில் வானகம்
பண்ணி னாரவர் பாலைத் துறையரே.

தேவர்கள் பணிந்து ஏத்த, (அதுகண்டு) வியப்புறும் மண்ணுலகத்தோர், மறவாது ` சிவாய ` என்று தியானிக்க, அவர்களுக்கு இடமாக எழில் மிகும் வானகத்தைப் படைத்தருளியவர், திருப்பாலைத்துறைப் பிரானே.

Civaṉ in pālaittuṟai created the beautiful heaven as the place for the inhabitants of this world who always meditated upon the mantiram `civāya` without forgetting it, with wonder when the celestials who are superior bow to, and praise, Civaṉ.

விண்ணுயர் மாளிகை மாடவீதி விரைகமழ் சோலை சுலாவியெங்கும்
பண்ணியல் பாடல றாதவாவூர்ப் பசுபதி யீச்சரம் பாடுநாவே.

அன்புடை அடியவர் புண்ணியம் திரண்டனைய வடிவினர் எனவும், நிறைந்த செல்வம் உடையவர் எனவும், பூதகணங்களின் தலைவர் எனவும், அருகில் வந்து பரவுவாரின் மனத்தார் எனவும், பிறைமதிக் கண்ணியர் எனவும் கைதொழுது போற்றச் சிவபிரான் எழுந்தருளிய ஊர் ஆகிய வானளாவ உயர்ந்த மாட மாளிகைகளோடு கூடியதும், மணம் கமழும் சோலைகளால் சூழப் பெற்றதும், எங்கும் பண்ணியலோடு கூடிய பாடல்கள் இடைவிடாது கேட்கப்படுவதும் ஆகிய ஆவூர்ப்பசுபதியீச்சரத்தை, நாவே தொழுது பாடுவாயாக.

Civaṉ who is the embodiment of all virtuous acts.
the master of all kinds of riches.
who is in the minds of those who approach him.
who wears the crescent as a chaplet.
is the place where the pious people praise him with joined hands, without ceasing.
my tongue!
sing the fame of pacupati iccaram in āvūr where songs blending with music never cease, where gardens which spread fragrance surround, and where there are streets of storeys in mansions which rise into the sky.

தந்திர மாவதும் தானங்க ளாவதும்

Lord`s Feet is All

Verily are they, all mantra and all medicine;
All tantra and all giving;
All beauty and all pure way;
My Lord`s Feet Twain.
